“The road will be difficult but we will walk it together”

Tens of thousands take to the streets to support democracy in Bulgaria

On the 16th of November, more than 70,000 citizens took to the streets of Sofia in support of the Socialist-led government of Premier Plamen Oresharski and against the attempts by the conservative opposition GERB party to discredit the democratic institutions in Bulgaria. The rally, which counted with the participation of leaders of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) and Movement for Rights and Freedom, focused on the need for unity and tolerance as the foundation for shared prosperity, democracy and social justice.
